End of Season - Kitzsteinhorn

at the end of the winter season i went to kitzsteinhorn for two days. Even if the weather wasn’t that good i enjoined it. Snow conditions were spring like….ah…ok…yeah it is allready spring so the weather was like supposed. I met a lot of people up there and now i’m really motivated for the summer season.

he guys! It’s been a while since writing my last blog but everything in between you can read on Jasmin’s blog :-)

so this time we have been on Kitzsteinhorn and Leogang. We left vienna at 5:30 in the morning. We should pic up a friend of mine but he overslept so it was more comfortable in the car :-) in Bischofshofen we met Klara to go on Kitzsteinhorn together. The weather was very strange. I think we had everything you could imagine. Rain, Snow, Bluebird and sometimes it was very foggy. So foggy, that Klara and me were lost in the middle of the DC Park up there :-). Unhappily i forgot my painkillers so it wasn’t that much fun with my knee. After that we slept in Altenmarkt and went to Leogang on Sunday. 14°C and just Bluebird. very nice. There were testing days of Nitro but nobody was up there. So we had music and free drinks just for us while shreddin’ the setup. Jasmin hurt her neck so she wasn’t able to ride in the afternoon.

all in all it was a nice weekend, that let me look forward for the spring conditions in the park :-)

Carneval Rail Jam - Rijeka (CRO)

Hi there! I have been to croatia on weekend for a railcontest. It was kind of invitational so i was very happy to compete there. Jpavli gave me a tip to check out Rogla in Slowenia. It was on our way so we (Smeul, Foxy and me) stopped there. The Park was closed due to weaterh conditions. So we set up some little jibs and bonks. It was pretty funny… After that we continued our journey to rijeka. after another 3 hours of driving we finally arrived. We checked out the setup, drank some beer and went back to our accomodation. On the next day we wanted to go back to the city, but my car was broken, right in the middle of nowhere. So we had to take it to a mechanic garage. 3 hours too late we arrived in city centre where the contest was. Totally unconcentrated i failed the qualification and became 9th. Fuxy got second and also Smeul (you can check her profile on www.elanchicas.com – Jasmin Reischer) had a small session on the setup. there was a nice few from the setup on the sea. And there have also been a lot of people. On the evening there was a nice party in the city center. Fuxi nearly got troubles with the police after the Party. Thanks to Dux, that he managed the situation. On Sunday i got up, my car wasn’t ready yet but i had to go home to hand in my bachelor thesis. So we went home with Baszi to Budapest. Then a funny thing happend at the boarder: Baszi lives in Hungary, he has a car, bought in germany, and a passport of the united states. another guy also lives in Hungary but has a passport of Slowakia. and me and Smeul with Austrian passports. Not enough, Baszis driving plate is from Lichtenstein! The guy at the custom aked as were we are going and Baszi told him “WE ARE GOING HOME”. So maybe not the best situation at a boarder. At the end i forgot my mobile in the car of baszi. so i came back to vienna without anything. My car is in rijeka, my boards are also there, my mobile is in Budapest so i’m really pissed. But Thanks to everybody who helped me with my car and everything.

he everybody. This weekend i have been to semmering on thursday and saturday and sunday i have been on stuhleck again. on stuhleck there is a new obstacle. a doublekinked box with handrails on each side. very funny obstacle. but we also went into the wood shredding and got some nice pics.

Snowfalls all over austria last weekend so we tried to do something with the snow. So we tried a wallride. Firsttime but it worked pretty good.

Wicked, Fox, Smeul, Lukas and myself couldn’t believe first snowfalls in lower austria so we searched for one of the first spots in the season.

1) A wooden straight rail approximatly 10 meters long with a bend in the middle cause it was made out of two trunk of trees. Fox destroyed the rail after a few tries, because he hit the middle stayer with his hip.

2) so we moved on to a lil bonk which was pretty funny with my old board because my bs edge is totally destroyed so when i put a little pressure on the bs edge it brakes like shit, so i had to go switch on my fs edge until 5 meters infront of the bonk then switchup and hardly any time for concentration. And because of that the bonks do not look that nice.

Hintertux Parkopening

The Park

a bit late but here my report about Hintertux Parkopening.

I left vienna at about 3 o’clock in the morning and arrived in Hintertux at approximatly 8:30. First day on board since i injured three ligaments in my knee in february.

On saturday it was raining till noon. All landings where icy. 2 Kickers on the pro line, 3 kickers in the beginner line, a corner, a flatbox and a rainbow box.

Sunday was ok but the park was totally overcrowded.

It was ok for the first session but i’m looking forward to the next sessions…
