As also last year, I spent this warm months with my girl in Indonesia – Bali and Nusa Lembongan islands. This year we were there for two months. Mostly moving around for perfect surf. We rented a motor bike for 1 Euro per day :). Yeah things there compared to Europe are really cheap. Rooms were between 4 to 6 Euros and food is even cheaper that you can imagine. So basically you need to save for your flight ticket…
For surfing Indo is just unbelievable! It’s so consistent with off-shore wind coming every day before noon and the waves are just always there. There waves basically for all levels and they are really close together. Unfortunately for us many people also found that and this year compared to last one was with much more tourists and surfers. Enough word, go see the photos and you will see!

Last week I was on a waiting period for some powder runs and especially some sun. In between there was a really warm period that I used to do some surfing in the Adriatic Sea.
My filmer Basti Funk and Helge Zirkl from Playboard also joined the quest. We got two days of waves in Croatia. Now back again waiting to do some back country action. Have fun. Matevz
Last weekend was really fun! A really mellow session with barbecue and all with an 80s touch. The weather was almost summer like with clear sky. Domen won the best 80s outfit award and I got the multigrab award and best rider/best line. There were many more categories like Limbo carve, High jump, Best Invert… Go check the shots! MP

Finally the weather changed for the Alps region from foggy to sunny. Yeay! On Monday 17th I set the direction to Austria. On the way I picked up Domen. The forecast was good but when we were leaving from Slovenia it was snowing, so we were a bit skeptical. After less than two hour drive we came out the Taurn tunnel the sun was ON! So we went to shred some powder. So good! We went again on Wednesday 19th to enjoy another sunny day. The park was looking perfect… The rest you can see on the photos.

Matevz shredding - a random SLO slurfer too...
After looking for forecasts for days, bad weather in Austria and high winds for the Adriatic from the south direction, I finally decided to go surfing over the weekend in Croatia. The spot working on south winds is in Medulin near the city of Pula. When we (me, Ursa, Sergeja, Janko) came there on Friday the winds were to strong, but the next day was much better and for the small Adriatic really nice. I took out my Yerxa 6,3 and raced to the line up. I got some great waves and after a couple hours I was dead tired and frozen. In the evening Domen also joined us at the apartment and cooked a great dinner for all. Sunday morning we went again and it was pure glass with no wind. The lines were coming in and we got some fun little ones. Matevz
