It`s been a while. I hope everybody is enjoying spring time! March and April have been great, I was in the States with my film crew La Famiglia. We were filming around Lake Tahoe for the movie WhiteEver, which will be coming out with Playboard next season. A bunch of guys and one girl together in a big house, it was awesome. We also visited the South Shore Soldier camp at Heavenly. They had a pretty fun set up and barbecue. After I went to Canada for a Helly Hansen shoot which was happening in Selkirk, interior BC. I didn’t expect anything because it was already end of March, but we were lucky and got really good powder and also the sun came out every day. It was a pretty relaxed lodge, good food and the cats drove us everywhere. Siiiiick! Happy happy puppy!
Then I went back to California and joined in for the MS Superpark session from Snowboarder at June Mountain. Crazy setup with gap jumps and a quarter-hip-stepup-waldride building. Great job they did and just for the girls! Then I went with Conny for some days to LA, checked out the beach, went shopping and had a fun time out. And you know what: my sister Sabrina is qualified for the Olympics in Judo!
Whoohoooo! Last weekend I visited her with my mum in St. Moritz. We went on some tours in the mountains. Innsbruck is also pretty enjoyable right now, friends, mt biking, learning to play the guitar and getting the spring riding on.
Yeahhhh Have fun! lisa
The last two weeks I have been to Jackson Hole with a bunch of girls and Scotsman Euan our filmer to do a podcast. There was Josie Clyde, organizer and photographer, Jenny Jones, the English sensation, Andrea Binning, Aussie freeskier and Lesley MC Kenna from Scotland. We stayed in Driggs, Idaho, which is an hour from Jackson Hole and Teton Pass is on the way to Jackson. At Teton pass we hiked a lot and also had some really nice powder runs. Actually we only had two nice weather days, the first and the last. We worked hard in the snowstorm and on the foggy snowy days, the pillows and drops in the trees were our shelter. We found a sick spot at Grand Thargee. I was so stoked to ride Jackson Hole, there are so many possibilities and the access to the backcountry is easy. I would love to go back there do all the stuff we couldn’t do because of the weather and the high avalanche danger. Josie had to leave us after 10 days to go on a trip to Turkey with some of the Roxy team. So Mike Arzt, my Helly Hansen team manager and Jake, snowboarder from Denver joined us. We introduced them into our peppermint-schnapps-car-shots-after-riding habits and mike cheered us up with car drifting at the parking lot. Haha, it was hilarious. At the end of our trip we built a nice kicker and we had a great session till Lesley hit her knee hard into her face. The result was a broken cheekbone. Next day we headed back up to the same area, built another hit and did some powturns. Andrea had really bad luck, when she did a nice turn she hit something hard under the snow and tore her ACL. We couldn’t believe it. Poor Andrea. But she even went out with us at night to have a drink. Jenny and me hit the dancefloor pretty hard till they closed the bar. Well they already closed it at two, that´s america too.

I hope you guys had a nice Christmas! For the first time i celebrated Christmas away from home but with my family. My sister had just booked a journey to Israel for my parents and me, so we had no chance to say no. Haha. First we were two days in Jerusalem. So many different cultures and religions live together in this little country. The old city of Jerusalem is just mind blowing. When you walk through the Armenian, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Quarters you get so many impressions! and then we went down to the red sea and we also stopped at the dead sea. It is so much fun to swim in there. Must be pretty cool to go there if you cannot swim, cause you just float in the water. From there we headed on to the red sea. Elat, which is the most southerly city of Isreal is right on the border to Jordan and Egypt. It is a very nice place to go snorkling or diving. We just snorkled, but it was pretty cool, we could see so many different kinds of fish. And above the water the landscape is just stone desert, with a few, very beautiful oasis in between. After three days there we went back to Tel Aviv and had a nice Israeli dinner at my sisters friends. Tel Aviv is the more modern city, but there is also the beautiful historic Jaffa port. On our whole trip we saw Kalashnikovs everywere. It doesn´t give a very good feeling, but it seems to be a normal situation for the Israelis. I really enjoyed the trip, the people were all friendly and nice and the food was amazing.
Check out the pics and I wish you a Happy New Year!
Shalom! lisa
What an amazing start for the new season! Pow pow arrived juhuuuuuu! I had already some good powder days at Stubai glacier, Axamer Lizum and Hochjoch in Vorarlberg. There I went this weekend with Alvaro and photographer Carlos Blanchard. Sunshine and fresh snow, it is like in a dream for this time of the year. Two weeks ago I wanted to go to Colorado to ride some park. Plans changed. ;-)
Photos by Alvaro with his little digi, he also got the photographer doing a pow turn. Happy Carlos!
Ciao lisa
