Organizing an O.U.T contest adapted to snowboarding, that was the challenge from the “Wise ride crew” (Brynild Vulin, Bruno Rivoire). It all went down in Chamrousse France on the 24th of February on a very warm Sunday.

The morning started with the AM qualification with a series of impressive tricks: 180°-360°-540°-720°-sw 540-sw 720. And guess what the best AM easily qualified with sw 720. In the afternoon it was time for the famous OUT contest on a set up composed of a big air and a rail. For the first time the world famous O.U.T contest format, usually challenged by skateboarders, was adapted to snowboarding. The rules are simple but had to be explained for a while.

Riders compete in a group of 3, the one who starts first chooses his obstacle (jump or rail) and announces the trick that he’s gonna do. If he stomps it, the other riders must do the same or they take a letter. When a rider has the three letters from the word O.U.T he is disqualified. Simple isn’t it?

At night the super finale was mainly dominated by the newcomers with a huge baggage of tricks:Gabriel Ribet , Ludovic Bart, Gab Bessy and Eybert Berard . We had seen FS 720 nose grabs, straight back flips, 180 BS double shifty, BS Rodéo indy, FS 720 lien; BS 72 mute ...

In the final two super technical riders where going face to face: Gaby Ribet stomped a SW BS 720 stalefish and Gabriel Bessy managed to do the same spin but missed the grab . 2nd place for him and Gaby Ribet won the first edition of the OUT contest and at the same time took home the 500 $ of prize money.
